Set up Twitter Ads account

If you want to set up Twitter Ads, it’s important that you have a Twitter account.

If you have a Twitter account, then you’re already through with the first step! Make sure your profile has a complete bio, a description about you and a relevant profile picture, etc. If you have an incomplete profile, you will be asked to recheck your profile.

There is a certain Twitter ads eligibility that you need to fulfill before running a Twitter ad. These are – your account should comply with all Twitter policies, the twitter account should be activated, there should be a profile picture and also a header image.

Choose the type of Twitter Campaign

Now that you’ve set up a Twitter account, you need to decide the type of campaign you want to start. Depending on your needs, you can choose a relevant campaign. You can choose whether you want to promote an account, a tweet, a trend, or automated ads. Also, decide what you want your campaign to achieve through your advertising. This could be increasing awareness, tweet engagement, followers, website clicks, app installs, etc. Also keep in mind who you are going to target in terms of age group, location, language, interests, etc.

Create a Twitter ad

With the type of campaign chosen, now comes the time to create a Twitter ad.

Start by naming your campaign, select your audience, set your budget, choose your creative. Decide when you want your campaign to run.

Twitter allows you to select your criteria in depth, ensuring that your ads are seen by the right people.

Set your budget

Now that you have chosen the audience, decide how much you want to invest in the ads. You need to set a maximum daily budget.

Similar to Google Adwords, you can also set up a total budget for the ads. This means the campaign will stop running once the budget is been hit.
